A PLATE OF REMEMBRANCE
Within the circle of Table of Silence Project 9/11, remembrance becomes a living act.
For the 2026 performance at Lincoln Center, Rosella Vasta has created a special edition of 25 signed and numbered sculpted plates.
Each plate will take its place within the September 11 performance, set upon the granite circle, the "Table," and carried by the dancers within the inner circle.
Each plate may also commemorate someone whose life you wish to honor, with that person's name inscribed on the reverse.
Following the performance, this plate becomes yours—a personal remembrance that has itself taken part of the ritual of Table of Silence 911 at Lincoln Center.
The opportunity to physically “give body” to the table came to my mind after I saw Buglisi's Requiem 9/11. When I first realized my 100 plates I imagined that there were 100 people sitting at this table…The idea of a never ending body of individuals unified by the repetition of one becomes a meditative mantra.
